The beloved Mermaid Live Show has been transformed into a reservation-based, paid experience starting April 1. Since its launch, weekend performances have consistently sold out, reflecting its immense popularity among visitors.
As part of the Mermaid Carnival, this initiative reaffirms a commitment to protecting the ocean. Using mermaid culture as a bridge, the event aims to raise public awareness about marine environmental issues.
In line with this mission, the park has introduced the limited-edition “Mermaid Guardian Pass”, with a portion of the proceeds going toward Taiwan’s first deep-sea documentary, Sleeping Giants Beneath the Waves. This meaningful gesture reflects a shared vision of marine conservation through real, impactful action.
✨World-Class Mermaid Competition Making Waves This May!
From May 24 to May 25, the 2025 3rd Taiwan Mermaid & Aquatic Dance Competition will make its grand debut at Farglory Ocean Park, co-hosted by the park itself, the Taiwan Freediving Development Association, Mermaid Federation International (MFI), and Apnea Marea Freediving. As Taiwan’s largest mermaid competition to date — and the first of its kind held at Farglory Ocean Park — this international event brings together top mermaid athletes from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and the Philippines in a dazzling display of underwater artistry and athleticism.
This year’s competition features a wide range of categories, including Women’s Solo, Men’s Solo, Children, Teens, and Team Events, as well as Aquatic Dance, a newly introduced competitive discipline in Taiwan. Competitors will combine freediving skills with expressive movement to deliver one-of-a-kind performances beneath the surface.
Beyond the contest, this international gathering is expected to deepen connections within the Asian mermaiding community and elevate Taiwan’s visibility in the world of mermaid performance. It also marks an important step toward establishing Taiwan as a leading hub for mermaid culture in Asia.
